A large-scale range of technical and engineering measures has been completed at all Rosneft refineries. That enabled transition of the enterprises to gasoline and diesel fuel production for the Russian market of the Euro 5 standard only.
The Customs Union's technical framework stipulates that domestic markets must switch to Euro 5 fuels starting January 1, 2016. Rosneft fulfilled its obligation for transition to gasoline and diesel of the highest environmental standard on time.
The transition is completed at Rosneft's refineries in Siberia: Angarsk Petrochemical Company and Achinsk Refinery. Earlier, the Euro 5 transition was finished at refineries in Kuibyshevsk,Novokuibyshevsk, Syzran, Saratov and Ryazan Refinery Company.
Only in 2015 the major isomerization units were commissioned at refineries in Kuibyshevsk, Novokuibyshevsk, and Ryazan. Also, reconstruction of catalytic reforming units was implemented at the Syzran refinery and reforming units - at the Kuibyshevsk refinery.
In 2016, the Company plans to produce over 10 mln t of motor fuels and nearly 16 mln t of diesel fuel of Euro 5 standard. This does not include the output at NGK Slavneft.
Rosneft refineries' transition to Euro 5 fuels production has been due to a large-scale investment program of the refineries modernization, as well as due to the proficiency and efficient team work of the Company's employees.
