Rosneft Day was held at the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), the Company's key partner university in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The job fair and presentations were attended by 34 subsidiaries, including 10 companies of Bashneft, Rosneft's largest asset in the region.

During Rosneft Day, vacancies for students and graduates of universities and colleges were presented. Today the most demanded vacancies among working professions are: oil and gas production operator, chemical analysis laboratory technician, process plant operator, instrument maker, repair mechanic, process plant repair mechanic, process pump operator, commodity operator, general machinist, electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, electric and gas welder.

Oil refiners from Bashneft-Novoil held a quiz for students on the topic “Oil refining and more”, with the winners getting movie tickets. “Orenburgneft” held an ‘oil monopoly’ game. Guests of the fair could also attend the lecture “Hydraulic fracturing - a discipline at the intersection of sciences” by RN-GRP. RN-Service employees held a master class “Career Roasting” and a meeting with international students. All participants of the events received memorable souvenirs.

As a part of the corporate program of continuous education ‘school - college/university - enterprise’, Rosneft implements projects to attract talented young people and form an external talent pool. The program has been implemented in the Republic of Bashkortostan for several years already. This year 49 schoolchildren were enrolled in the 10th grade “Rosneft Classes”. In addition, 25 9th grade students were enrolled in the Rosneft Class in Ufa on a pilot basis. The Ufa Fuel and Energy College (UFEC) became a partner of the pilot.

USPTU and UFEC have six corporate groups of Bashneft in various training areas, including: oil and gas geology and geophysics, solid fuel, oil and gas processing technology, design and operation of oil and gas processing equipment, etc. In profile groups, students combine work at the production site with individualized training. Training in specialized subjects is conducted with the involvement of expert teachers among Bashneft's employees. Students also participate in the Company's career guidance and corporate events.

In partnership with Bashneft's enterprises, USPTU has established basic departments: Petrochemical Process Technology, Welding of Oil and Gas Structures, Bashneft Refining and Bashneft Environmental Engineering.

RN-BashNIPIneft Research Institute supervises 7 basic and graduate departments at USPTU. This year the institute opened two new basic departments at the university: “Lean Technologies and Innovations in Oil and Gas Industry” and “Oil and Gas Field Equipment for Well Operation and Workover”. Also in 2024, a new master's degree program MPE Petroleum Engineering in Oil and Gas Engineering will be opened for international students at the Department of Oilfield Pipeline Systems of USPTU. RN-BashNIPIneft specialists train undergraduates in design, development and production at onshore and offshore oil and gas fields, operating Rosneft's software products as well as introduce them to innovative well drilling technologies, etc. Ten applicants from Egypt, Nigeria and Cameroon were the first students on the programme.

“Ufaorgsintez” annually organizes the Olympiad “United Refinery Refining Cup” and the Olympiad in petrochemistry, chemical technology and automation for senior students at the University. The winners and runners-up, in addition to diplomas and gifts, receive additional points, which are taken into account when enrolling in a master's program at USPTU, and are also invited for interviews at Bashneft's enterprises for possible employment.
