The Achinsk Refinery (part of Rosneft’s refining complex) has commissioned a state-of-the-art environmental laboratory to accurately monitor various environmental components, including waste, natural and drinking water, soil, air quality and industrial factors.
The new 800 m2 facility houses advanced equipment capable of automating processes, ensuring high-precision research and increasing staff productivity. Specialists at the refinery conduct approximately 10,000 analyses per month using highly sensitive methods. The laboratory is equipped with an intelligent ventilation system that provides comfortable working conditions for the staff.
In addition, the refinery uses a mobile environmental complex equipped with modern atmospheric sampling and rapid analysis equipment.
Preserving the environment for future generations is an integral part of Rosneft’s corporate culture. The Company aims to achieve leadership in minimising environmental impact and ensuring eco-friendliness of its production.
The Achinsk Refinery’s environmental laboratory, along with commodity control, gas analysis and research laboratories, is part of the refinery’s centralised plant laboratory complex. Every month, the refinery’s specialists conduct around 53,000 tests on crude oil, petroleum product components, and finished products. They also develop formulations for commercial offers and perform environmental monitoring of the industrial site and the enterprise’s sanitary protection zone.
For more than two decades, the central laboratory of the Achinsk Refinery has maintained the status of an accredited testing centre, regularly confirming its compliance with international and national standards.
