Rosneft’s research institutes in Tomsk and Tyumen have designed a concept for intelligent development of gas and gas condensate fields. The project involves the creation of an automated production control system based on a «digital field twin». The software module prototypes have already passed the first successful tests on simulator benches that precisely simulate physical processes at the Company’s existing oil and gas fields.
The project was introduced as a part of a scientific and technical conference dedicated to advanced technologies for oil, gas and gas condensate field development. Rosneft’s annual event brought together more than 250 representatives of the scientific community, production and service companies, engineering centres, manufacturers of technologies and equipment for the fuel and energy sector. Rosneft’s corporate institute in Tomsk traditionally organised the conference.
Rosneft being a leader in the development of innovative oil and gas production technologies holds annual conferences in various areas of work, where it consolidates and shares the best ideas and practices for the comprehensive development of the domestic oil and gas industry.
The conference also discussed advanced developments in information modelling, design, construction and operation of production facilities, the development of technology for digital twins of operating fields and the practice of implementing mobile infrastructure solutions.
In the Rosneft pavilion at the RUSSIA exhibition at VDNH, you are welcome to experience the work of a digital twin of a field in Bashkiria and become an oil field operator. Visitors will be able to remotely control the main technological parameters of the oilfield and manage the production process with the help of the field control centre.
