RN-Yuganskneftegaz, the largest oil producing asset of Rosneft, saved more than 426 million kWh of electricity in 2022 as a result of the implementation of the energy saving program. In monetary terms, the effect totaled about 1.8 billion rubles, which exceeds the same indicator in 2021 by 5.8%.

RN-Yuganskneftegaz is a major consumer of electricity, 23% of which is produced at its own generation facilities. In 2022, Priobskaya and Prirazlomnaya power plants generated 2.8 billion kWh. At the same time, the cost of generated electricity is 25% lower than that of the purchased electricity.

Specialists of the enterprise have implemented more than 30 thousand energy saving measures. The greatest effect was achieved by upgrading submersible equipment in mechanized production, pumping equipment in oil treatment and pumping systems and reservoir pressure maintenance, and optimization of the operating mode of process facilities.

More than 58% of the company's well stock is equipped with energy-efficient electric motors, and their implementation in 2022 saved more than 110 million kWh. Additional savings of over 17 million kWh were achieved by upgrading centrifugal sectional pumps in reservoir pressure maintenance.

RN-Yuganskneftegaz is working systematically to replace the lighting system elements with LED light sources. In 2022 alone, the effect of this program exceeded 10 million kWh.

In addition, last year the company passed a re-certification audit for compliance of the energy management system with the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001-2018. The certification confirmed the transparency and objectivity of the assessment of energy efficiency, reduction of environmental impact, preservation of natural resources and cost reduction.
