Employees of Rosneft’s Tyumen enterprises took part in the All-Russian Green Spring 2022 environmental campaign. Employees of RN-Uvatneftegaz, Tyumenneftegaz, the Tyumen Petroleum Research Centre and Kynsko-Chaselskoe Neftegaz cleaned 16 hectares of the Pesyanoye lake shoreline area in Tyumen.
A total of over 1,000 kg of rubbish was collected, sorted and sent for recycling. At the end of the event, the oil workers organised a special action: they lined up in a V-shape in support of Russia.
Pesyanoye Lake is located near Tyumen’s centre and belongs to the city’s water supply system. The reservoir is about 200 hectares in size and is home to perch, bream and pike. The lakeshore is a popular recreational area for locals.
Rosneft and its subsidiaries take part every year in various environmental campaigns to conserve water bodies in order to draw attention to the condition of lakes, springs and rivers, as well as the careful rational use of water resources. The Company has a number of comprehensive programmes for the conservation and restoration of natural resources, including the use of modern technology.
In 2021, RN-Uvatneftegaz, Tyumenneftegaz and the Tyumen Petroleum Research Centre organised an environmental campaign on a unique natural area of the region — Solyonoye Lake. The campaign involved improving the coastal area by installing rubbish bins and bio-toilets, as well as stands with information on the healing properties of water, mud and clay. The Company’s efforts have contributed to the preservation of a natural monument of regional importance.
