The super-final of the programme for gifted children, which is implemented as part of Rosneft Oil Company’s cooperation with the Talent and Success Educational Foundation, has commenced at the Sirius federal territory. The final round brings together 108 Rosneft Classes pupils from 16 regions of the Company’s presence, who have scored the highest number of points in the online competition. A total of 1,038 Rosneft Classes pupils registered for the programme this year.
The Rosneft 2022 Strategy includes supporting state policy in the area of education and human resource development. Rosneft has established a corporate system of continuous education ‘School—University—Enterprise’ to attract talented, professionally trained young people to the Company. With Rosneft’s support, 108 Rosneft Classes are currently operating in 21 regions of the country, attended by 2,371 schoolchildren. The training is based on advanced programmes in mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science and involves leading teachers from the Company’s regional partner universities.
The final stage of the programme for gifted children is a career guidance event for high school students. Using VR and AR technology, they will create exhibits for a virtual museum dedicated to the history of the oil and gas industry. The finalists will work as part of project teams under the guidance of Sirius Lyceum teachers and experts from Rosneft enterprises. At the end of the super-final, the best projects will be selected.
This is the fourth partnership programme between Rosneft and the Talent and Success Foundation. 100% of last year’s participants entered universities upon graduation, with the vast majority enrolling in the Company’s core areas of study.
