Samotlorneftegaz, an enterprise of Rosneft Oil Company’s refining complex, will build 120 new wells using energy from mobile e-houses. Power facilities will be installed in remote parts of the field, where the construction of stationary electrical power plants is inefficient.
The Company is systematically working to improve energy efficiency, rational consumption of resources and environmental friendliness of production under the Rosneft 2022 Strategy. Switching to e-houses reduces the use of fuel for power generation and, as a result, reduces the environmental footprint.
Made-in-Russia mobile substations are fully adapted to northern conditions. The temperature range of their operation ranges from -55 to +50 degrees Celsius. The complex can be freely moved and put into operation as soon as possible. Installation of the equipment takes about 4 days, and its small size allows installing it in any area of the Samotlor field.
The enterprise purchased two e-houses in 2018 as a part of a programme to optimize costs of drilling by reducing fuel costs. The economic impact from their use averaged 114 million roubles per unit per year and Samotlorneftegaz is currently working on expanding their use.
