Rosneft increases the level of associated petroleum gas efficient use at the new oil-producing projects. East Siberian Oil and Gas Company, a subsidiary of Rosneft, commissioned the high-priority APG utilization facilities at the Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field. As a part of the investment project, a gas compressor station with a capacity of 0.8 bcm per year, a fuel gas preparation unit with a capacity of 312 mcm per year, a high-pressure pipeline, and a gas-injection well cluster started working. The total capacity of the first train facilities is 2 bcm per year of gas.
This initiative will allow to increase the level of efficient APG use due to electricity generation and injecting into the formation for pressure maintenance.
After all gas programme facilities (the first and the second trains of gas compressor stations with a total capacity of more than 5 bcm per year of gas) are to be constructed and commissioned, the level of APG use is planned to reach 95%. The investment project implementation will contribute to increasing of eco-friendliness of its production significantly.
As a part of gas programme implementation, the large-scale infrastructure complying with the world quality and safety standards is being constructed at the field. The gas facilities are fitted with up-to-date equipment with a high degree of production processes automatisation, control and monitoring. The technology of membrane preparation, unique for the Russian oil and gas industry, is implemented at the fuel gas preparation unit. It involves separating the different impurities from the key components – methane, ethane, and propane – while passing through the polymer membrane under differential pressure. This technology solution allows cutting the costs due to purification of gas of impurities and removal of hydrate and heavy hydrocarbons at the same time.
Note for Editors:
The East Siberian Oil and Gas Company, a subsidiary of Rosneft Oil Company, explores the widened high-priority area at the Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field in the Evenki district of Krasnoyarsk Territory. There are nine hydrocarbon deposits discovered at the Yurubchensky licence area. The current В1+В2 recoverable reserves stand at more than 350 million tonnes of oil.
Vostsibneftegaz also holds the geological exploration licence for upstream activities at Agaleevsky and Tersko-Kamsky areas.
