Vankorneft, a Rosneft subsidiary developing the Vankor oil and gas condensate field, has delivered 10 bcm of gas to the Russian united system of gas supply since the start of marketable gas supplies.
Gas supplies are implemented via long-term contracts with major industrial consumers, thus ensuring efficient sales of the Company’s gas.
As part of implementation of Vankor project’s gas programme in accordance with the programme of profitable associated petroleum gas use, the 108 km-long Vankor-Khalmerpayutinskoye gas transmission pipeline, high and low-pressure compression stations, gas processing facilities, and infield pipeline systems were built at Vankor. Gas facilities are provided with modern equipment, systems for control and monitoring of production processes.
Also, APG is being injected into reservoir pressure maintenance system. Vankor gas is also used as a fuel for Vankor gas-turbine electric power station with a capacity of 200 MW, providing the field with electric and thermal energy. Currently the level of associated petroleum gas use at the Vankor field is above the target of 95%.
Technologies, applied at the Vankor field as part of the gas programme, will also be implemented in the Vankor cluster, one of which is the Suzunskoye field, which at the moment is at the active infrastructure development stage.
Construction of a gas processing facility and a gas-compressor station with the annual gas productivity of 2 bcm as well as 65 km-long Tagul-Vankor gas pipeline is planned at the Tagulskoye oil and gas field. Similar to Vankor, maximum efficient APG use is envisaged at the new fields.
Building and installation works on PWDU-South low pressure gas-compressor station (preliminary water discharge unit), designed to gas compression at the second and third level of separation were completed last year. A low pressured gas-compressor station is at the final stage of construction on PWDU-North station.
